Check-in is at 1:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Need to arrive early or leave late? Early check-in and late check-out are available for $25 each if the site is free — just ask at the Lodge.

What should I bring to check-in?

Accepted Answer

Have your RV and vehicle license plate numbers, a photo ID, and a credit card ready. Pull forward into the Lodge lane — past the propane area if possible — and our team will get you checked in.

Question 3

Can I request a specific site, or transfer my reservation to someone else?

Accepted Answer

Management assigns the final site for each stay, but a site-lock option is available for a nominal fee if booked at the time of reservation. Reservations cannot be transferred to another person.

Can I have a rental RV dropped off before I arrive?

Accepted Answer

Rental RV drop-off is allowed only with prior approval from the resort, and a registered guest must be present for the drop-off.

How do I book a site?

All reservations are booked online through Campspot, our verified booking platform. You can pick your exact site type — Premium or Deluxe, pull-through or back-in — check live availability, and pay securely. For extended stays, contact the front desk at (530) 404-5001 for current availability.

What do nightly, weekly, and extended stays cost?

Question 7

Are pets welcome?

Yes — Grass Valley RV Resort is proudly pet friendly, with up to 2 pets per site (more with approval). Pets must be leashed at all times, never left unattended outside, and waste picked up promptly. Pets aren't allowed in the Lodge or pool area, but we do have a dog park and a dog wash station on site.

What hookups do the sites have?

All 148 sites are fully paved with full hookups: water, sewer, and 30/50-amp electric. Free WiFi covers the entire resort, and an on-site Propane Filling Station and RV dump station are available.

How big of a rig can you fit?

Our largest premium pull-through sites accommodate rigs up to 64 feet with room to spare. Every site is fully paved, so leveling is easy no matter what you drive or tow.

Every stay includes access to the heated pool and spa, the 4,500 sq ft lodge with The Market store, pickleball, bocce ball, horseshoes, and cornhole, dog parks and dog wash, heated showers, laundry, a business center, Free WiFi, the on-site Propane Filling Station, and an RV dump station.

What are the pool hours and rules?

The pool and spa are open 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily for registered guests, with adult swim from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. No glass, smoking, vaping, speakers, or rafts are allowed at the pool — noodle floaties are fine.

Do you offer extended or seasonal stays?

Accepted Answer

Yes — extended stays are monthly, by application. Rates start from $1,750/month (seasonal rates apply), plus metered electric and a $5/day environmental impact fee. Apply at gvrvresort.com/long-term-stays or call the front desk. Extended stays max out at 7 consecutive months; after that, guests are welcome to return for another extended stay following 7 nights off the property.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel 14 or more days before arrival for a refund minus a $20 processing fee. Cancel 3-14 days before arrival and we keep one night's rate. Cancel with under 2 days' notice, or leave early, and we keep one night while the rest returns to you as camp credit. Monthly reservations have a $50 cancellation fee per reservation.

Can I get Wi-Fi strong enough to work remotely?

Yes. Free WiFi covers the entire resort, and many extended-stay guests work full time from their rigs. The lodge also has a business center if you need a change of scenery or a quiet spot for a video call.

Are campfires allowed at the sites?

Open wood fires aren't permitted — we're in the Sierra foothills, where fire safety rules are strict. Propane fire pits, propane or pellet barbecues, and charcoal grills are all welcome.

What are quiet hours?

Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Smoking is allowed only in designated areas (never at the pool), and please keep sites tidy — no clotheslines, no storage under the rig, and no parking on vacant sites. Kids under 8 must have a parent or guardian with them around the resort.

Can I have visitors or an extra vehicle?

Yes. Each site includes up to 4 people; additional guests are $10 per person per night, with a maximum of 6 people on a site at once, including visitors. Day visitors are welcome from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (6 hours max) for $10 per person — just have them check in at the Lodge for a parking pass. You may keep your RV plus up to two other vehicles per site; please don't park on empty sites, grass, or fire lanes. If site vehicle capacity is reached, visitors park in overflow, and repeat issues may mean being asked to leave.

What are the driving and vehicle rules around the resort?

The speed limit is 7 mph resort-wide for cars, golf carts, bikes, and e-bikes. Bicycles and e-bikes are welcome; skateboards and scooters are not permitted, and kids must wear helmets per California law. Golf carts are allowed with proof of insurance and a driver's license shown at check-in — kids may not drive them. Electric vehicles are welcome for a $10/day fee; electric motorcycles are not permitted. Please don't perform oil changes or vehicle repairs on site — report any leaks to the Lodge right away.

What if I need help after the Lodge closes, or in an emergency?

A camp host is on site every night after the Lodge closes, based at Site 1 and Site 148 — check the sign at the front office to see who's on duty. Call our after-hours line at 530-575-5679 for non-emergencies. For any life-threatening emergency, call 911 first. Other useful numbers: Police (530) 477-4600, Fire (530) 274-4370, and the Lodge at (530) 404-5001.

Is the resort a good base for events at the fairgrounds?

The best one there is — the Nevada County Fairgrounds is directly next door, so you can walk to the Nevada County Fair, Draft Horse Classic, Country Christmas Faire, and dozens of other events without moving your rig or fighting for parking. Book early for event weekends; those dates fill fast.

What's the best way to drive in?

Don't take the early Auburn Road exit off Highway 49 — it's too tight for RVs. Instead, stay on Highway 49 to Highway 20, take the Mill Street exit, turn right on Mill, go under the highway, turn right on McCourtney Road, then left on Auburn Road. The resort entrance is on your right.

We're at 1462 Auburn Road, Grass Valley, CA 95949 — right next to the Nevada County Fairgrounds, about five minutes from historic downtown Grass Valley and a short drive from Nevada City, on Highway 49 in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
